Una colazione abbondante non aiuta a perdere peso

Una colazione ricca e abbondante per tagliare la fame e mangiare meno a pranzo. È un mito da sfatare. Abbuffarsi le prime ora del mattino non serve a ridurre l’apporto calorico dei pasti successivi. Lo sostiene una ricerca tedesca dell’università di Monaco che ha chiesto ha 380 volontari (280 obesi e 100 normopeso) di tenere un diario dei pasti per due settimane. Il risultato? Gli studiosi hanno potuto notare che coloro che eccedevano a colazione non aveva ridotto le calorie durante il giorno e, quindi, non erano riusciti a dimagrire.

Insomma, un famoso luogo comune è stato completamente smontato. Questo non vuol dire che non occorra fare colazione, piuttosto è bene fare attenzione alle calorie, per non accumularne troppe nell’arco della giornata.

Bisogna quindi mettere da parte cappuccino e brioche, uova, bacon e toast, e mantenersi leggeri. La maggior parte di questi alimenti sono tipici della colazione all’inglese che noi italiani non siamo soliti consumare, però teniamo in considerazione che solo un cappuccino totalizza 200 calorie, quasi il quantitativo complessivo dell’intera colazione. Decisamente troppo. Volker Schusdziarra, ricercatore dell’Else-Kröner-Fresenius Center of Nutritional Medicine e coordinatore della ricerca, ha commentato:

Una colazione abbondante   diventa un di più che impedisce a chi ha problemi di peso di perderlo. L’unica tendenza virtuosa che abbiamo riscontrato in una parte del campione consiste nel saltare lo spuntino di metà mattina quando si è fatto il pieno appena svegli.

Questo pieno, tra l’altro, comporta un’assunzione di 400 calorie in più nel corso della giornata, nonostante il salto mattutino della merenda. Questa  nuova ricerca però si contrappone a vecchi studi scientifici che sostengono il contrario: una prima colazione abbondante è necessaria per dimagrire bene e per immagazzinare energie per affrontare la giornata e per prevenire attacchi di cuore e diabete. Addirittura, molti esperti sponsorizzano il consumo di proteine, soprattutto uova, perché più energetiche e saziante rispetto ai classici carboidrati, cui noi italiani siamo abituati.
